PUBLICATION

An A4 editorial publication inspired by girls’ experience with Liverpool nightlife. It centers around the common practice of (mainly) girls telling their friends to text them when they get home - ensuring their safety. This reflects how girls may feel unsafe in the city at night, and shows some different approaches to combat this.
Backed up with primary research in the form of a questionnaire given out to female students in Liverpool, and secondary research through essays and papers.

The purpose is to encapsulate views from different female students. A questionnaire was filled out by female students from all Liverpool universities. These responses inform the publication.

The tone is driven by the use of handwritten typography throughout the publication. The aim was to emulate messages written on bathroom walls in clubs and bars, and how this can create a sense of community between girls. 
It also gives a fun feel to a publication that is about something inherently serious and an important part of everyday life for female students.

These images were taken and edited by myself, to portray a candid insight into the experience of being a girl on a night out in Liverpool.
